For Black Friday Verdena, build a shopping list around the places where the plants will grow. The shop includes ornamental trees, shrubs, perennials, indoor plants and care products. Light, available space and the size of the selected version are more useful reference points than a photograph of a mature specimen. Compare plants suited to your garden or room before considering the reduction.
Garden plants suited to their eventual position
For an ornamental tree, consider the space it will occupy at maturity rather than only its delivery size. Check the recommended exposure, growth habit and species requirements. A plant suited to a sunny terrace can have different needs from one intended for a shaded part of the garden.
For shrubs and hedging plants, establish the length to be planted and the recommended spacing before calculating quantities. With hydrangeas, magnolias, roses or lavender, compare the specific variety and planting conditions. The common plant name does not always explain differences in eventual size, flowering or positioning. A prepared planting plan makes the Black Friday shortlist much easier to evaluate.
Plant height and pot volume need separate checks
Verdena explains its measurements differently for outdoor and indoor plants: outdoor height excludes the nursery pot, while indoor measurements include it. A stated trunk height does not automatically represent total height. Read the selected version carefully, particularly where one product is offered in several sizes.
Also compare the container volume in litres and the form in which the plant is supplied. Seasonal appearance can differ from a photograph showing full growth. For dormant plants, consult the variety information rather than treating the number of leaves in a photograph as the main selection criterion. Size descriptions are more useful than comparing photographs taken at different times.
Indoor plants and the accessories they require
For ficus, dracaena, sansevieria or other houseplants, start with the light and space available in their intended position. Check the height available beside the window and the pot diameter. Where children or animals are present, review information about the species’ safety before deciding where it should stand.
A decorative cover and a nursery container perform different roles. Check their dimensions and drainage rather than assuming the pot shown in a display photograph is included. Choose substrate and fertiliser suitable for the plant, in quantities you expect to use. A larger pack is not helpful when its formulation does not suit your collection.
Plan delivery and the complete garden budget
Large plants may require a different transport arrangement from an ordinary parcel. Check the conditions for the selected size, where delivery can be received and the final amount payable. Include pots, substrate and necessary accessories in the budget rather than counting only discounted plants.
Before Black Friday, keep a list of the species and versions you want. When comparing an offer, establish that the price concerns the same size and quantity. After delivery, follow the species-specific care and planting recommendations. The shopping event does not itself determine the right planting time for your garden, so allow the actual conditions at home to guide the next steps.
