OutIn caters to people who want to make espresso away from home, with portable machines and coffee accessories. A useful Black Friday purchase depends on how the equipment will be used: capsules at the office, ground coffee while travelling or a setup with a grinder. Nano, Nano 2 and Mino should not be treated as interchangeable models, and a larger bundle should be judged by the components you will actually use.
Machine generations and compatible accessories
Record the complete model name before comparing OutIn offers. Nano 2 is distinct from Nano, with its own specifications and accessories. The manufacturer specifically notes that the Basket Plus for the first-generation Nano is not compatible with Nano 2.
If you already own a machine and want a discounted accessory, start with its model rather than a similar-looking photograph. For a first purchase, compare the standalone machine with the proposed bundle: a carrying case, stand and grinder are separate components and are not automatically included in every configuration.
Capsules or ground coffee
OutIn Nano and Nano 2 can use ground coffee and compatible capsules. For Nano 2, the specified capsule format is Nespresso Original Line. The capsule manufacturer’s name alone is insufficient because the same brand may sell several formats.
Capsules reduce the preparation steps and accessories needed in a bag. Ground coffee requires dosing and a grind suitable for the machine. If you choose a package containing the Fino grinder, consider preparation time, cleaning and storage space too. Buying a grinder is unnecessary if you intend to use capsules exclusively, even when it appears in an attractive combined offer.
Heating, battery life and charging
Brewing from cold water and extracting with already-hot water use different amounts of battery power. When reading the stated endurance, look at the test conditions: starting temperature, water quantity and preparation method. A figure describing extraction alone should not be interpreted as the number of complete heating and brewing cycles.
Charging requirements differ between generations. Nano 2 uses USB-C PD charging, while the manufacturer specifies different power requirements for Nano. Check the required charger and box contents before adding accessories. An included cable does not automatically mean the appropriate wall adapter is supplied as well.
Keeping a travel setup portable
The OutIn catalogue includes cases, stands, coffee baskets and adapter kits. For short trips, a machine with capsules and a case may cover the basics. For brewing with freshly ground beans, the equipment list becomes longer and includes the grinder and necessary containers.
Add up the size and weight of the complete setup, not just the espresso machine. Choose accessories for the intended setting: a desk, a parked car or accommodation. If you want milk-based drinks, do not assume that the espresso machine’s reservoir is intended to heat milk; the Nano instructions explicitly exclude that use.
